UoB Funding Available to Undergraduate Volunteers!

If you are a University of Birmingham under-graduate student looking to volunteer in Africa, then take a look at the following grants and bursaries available to you if you volunteer with Volunteer West Africa...
The University of Birmingham offers VWA applicants the following Work Experience Bursaries:
 
'Careers Network' provides a number of bursaries every summer to support undergraduate students who are undertaking voluntary or low-paid work experience opportunities. If you are interested in volunteering with VWA, and you feel you may benefit from financial support, please read the information below or contact the team at Careers Network at: internships@contacts.bham.ac.uk for more information.
 
Careers Network offers bursaries from four streams, one of which is for work overseas:
 
 
Key points:
  • These are competitive applications; you must demonstrate how this money will help you develop skills, improve your career prospects and make you more employable. Please see the online guidelines for more information
  • Open only to undergraduate students up to and including their penultimate year of study (final year students and postgraduate students are not eligible)
  • Open to students from all disciplines
  • You do not have to have your placement confirmed or finalised in order to submit an application
  • Deadline: 29th March 2015
 
You may also be able to apply for the Gateway Work Experience Bursary if you meet the eligibility criteria:
