My name is Beatrice; I want to appreciate Partner West Africa (PWA) for giving me the opportunity to volunteer with them. I volunteered as part of the Monitoring and Evaluation team. It was a sky-blue thinking experience for me. I have learnt and improved on my skills in monitoring and evaluation and I learnt a lot about working in the field. I drafted a general monitoring and evaluation plan for the charity, and also helped write the Malaria Prevention Program Evaluation Report. The Malaria Prevention Program was encouraging, and successful with the resources available. I gained the support I needed from the monitoring and evaluation team who had a wealth of experience in the field.
I was delighted to be in Ghana to volunteer with my time, skills and resources and I enjoyed every bit of my stay. I felt at home in the volunteer guest house and my little one was most welcome in the household as well [Beatrice volunteered with her 9-month-old son]. The teachers at the PWA Nursery and Daycare Centre for Vulnerable Children and other volunteers at the guest house are wonderful people, they were all accommodating and I enjoyed my social activities and time spent with other volunteers from across the globe.
I appreciate the management, the programme team, and the teachers, and I love the children in the nursery as well. Thanks to Partner West Africa for fulfilling my dream to volunteer with them.
